This book is an historical record with the sixty-three poems Edmond Bruneau wrote between the ages of fifteen and twenty-one - his self-professed Age of Innocence. A time of vision. Doubt. Reflection. Relationships gone awry. New love with youthful exuberance.

"It was a special time in my life," he explains. "I was going through all the feelings and emotions many people experience at the age. Writing poetry helped me cope and adjust. Writing was my method of letting a little air out of the balloon."

Edmond Bruneau made a living as an award-winning professional writer and creative director. Now retired, he has written three additional poetry books and wrote all the lyrics for six Robot Raven albums - a group with a classic rock edge. Favorite poems in the book include Poems for the Prince and Patches for the Pauper. Astrology Affair. A Cold Beach. My Sun. The Much Needed Victory. Ocean.

Bruneaus's early poetic style has a resemblance to the work of both Billy Collins and James Thurber.
