Whether you are new to the play date scene or you've been taking part in them for years, these helpful tips will ensure you and your child have a positive experience in your play date future. If you are new to the play date arena and are not sure how to get started just know you are not alone. For younger children, it's recommended to have the parent stay at the house of the person hosting the play date unless you/your child are familiar with the other parents/kids. On the other hand, if this is not your first introduction to the family then feel free to take some well-deserved time to yourself and enjoy time to run errands or simply be alone. It's important that both you and your child are comfortable with the play date process in order to make it a memorable and repeatable experience. Always discuss transportation in advance. Proper etiquette is normally offering to drive one way.
