When Alexander Ocean moved to Bentley Middle School, his young rowdy cousin, Jay, warned him that the halls were full of bullies, a crazed ex-Olympic sports coach and other scary stuff that would eat him for breakfast.

But on his tenth birthday, a dark voice whispered to his soul. He felt an unspeakable evil pull at his self-control. The influence entered Alexander's flesh and crept into Alex's mind. He was in danger of having his will swallowed by the deadly darkness.
