Nasir Zaidi in his book, Om: The Timeless Sound, signifies the essence of ultimate reality. He talks about Krishna's consciousness – an awareness of / affection for the Supreme Person. This awareness is the culmination of all forms of yoga, knowledge, meditation and spirituality, freeing us from all negativity and making us spiritually ecstatic.

Om is not a word but an intonation, which, like music, transcends the barriers of age, race, culture and even species. It is made up of three Sanskrit letters, aa, au and ma, which, when combined, make the sound 'Aum' or 'Om'.

Everything originates from Om – the Gayatri Mantra, the Vedas, the Upanishads, the Vedanta and the Srimad Bhagavatam. So, our quest for Sri Krishna also begins with Om.

Nasir Zaidi has admirably articulated in his verses that Om denotes Krishna. The more one reads Om: The Timeless Sound, the more one understands and internalises the power of Om. The chanting, resonance and vibrations that run through the body help one come closer to the Supreme Personality of Godhead.
