Losing both parents at a young age, Ella resides with her stepmother and stepsisters in New Mexico, who takes care of her. At the age of nineteen, Ella moves out on her own to attend college with the well wishes of the only family she has left. One day her friend invites her to a party but cancels, after she already got her mother's dress from her stepmother's attic. At the last minute, her family offers to bring her with them to a luxurious party, where she meets Anna.
Anna isn't like the rest of the guests and soon they become friends. Intrigued by Ella's necklace, Anna asks to see it and they talk the night away. Once the evening ends, she realizes she has lost her precious necklace that her mother gave her before she died. Will she ever get it back? Or does someone have it?
