Pandemics sweep across the world in seeming perpetuity, fuelling the bitterness of the great divide, as the less fortunate are subjected to humiliation, forced to beg and steal. The reaction by those in power is derisory, and their condescension infuriating, causing the wealthy to protect their assets, and the masses to wreak their vengeance upon imagined enemies, encouraged through psychological manipulation and media perversion. Former allies are suspected as truth is entangled in a complex devious web, resulting in the division those seeking to usurp democracy demand, in order to control. There remained a substantial number of people who desired law and order, but the path was littered with their shattered remains. Tommy and Joan knew the consequences but still vowed to fight on, believing in the future of mankind in a better world, though their faith was tested to the limit.
We follow their pursuit of equality for all as they question the establishment and are considered enemies by all sides, with only their faith in humankind to sustain them. Their sacrifice is complete as Tommy sees their life's work added to others, in readiness for the publishing of the sacrosanct testament – Rules that will sustain a fair world in perpetuity – Set in Stone.
