This is a memory book right from the start, it's about the life journey of a political activist in Iran. The author writes about his own life journey as a left wing political activist in Southern Iran who has fought for freedom and justice since his childhood. He continues to write about his memories of being arrested and imprisoned in both shah's and Islamic regime's prisons. Finally, the book ends with the writer's secretive and adventurous escape from Iran with the intention of seeking refuge and reaching a safe place to live.

The author has tried to provide comprehensive and detailed information about prisons situations in different cities of Iran during the shah's regime as well as Islamic regime. He writes about his resistance to the most brutal physical and psychological tortures, such as fake execution and the effect of these tortures after release from prison.

The Author illustrates in more details introducing his fellow prisoners, their name and their roles in political parties, their heroic resistances and brief history of left wing movement in Iran.
