The story has an intriguing plot involving a wicked dragon who is terrorising a village, a small group of children and a wizard. The hero has a hair-raising plan to deal with the dragon. The only problem with his plan is that it would almost certainly involve him being caught and eaten by the dragon. Fortunately, his meeting with a wizard introduces the necessary magic into the situation to transform what was an impossible plan into one, which whilst still extremely dangerous, contains at least the possibility of success. Mattrass, the hero of the story, enlists a group of children who work together to help carry out his plan. This is an exciting story that will captivate and thrill its readers, and its unexpected ending will further stimulate the imagination of the children who read it.
