It reminds the child that the first number tells you how many groups and the second number tells you the value or the amount. This book provides visuals on how many groups of 10. The child can count in tens to know the answer and once they are confident with what 2 times 10 means they should be able to understand what they need to do to know what 3 times 10 is and so on. This is another book made for my son to consolidate the speed and efficiency of his times tables.
