Sophie looked out of the train window. She was almost at the station now, and would soon be driven to the famous Ermon House. In her hand was the letter giving her permission to search in the estate's massive library for a lost piece of eighteenth-century music.

Would she find it, or would she fail in her mission? Would the people at the house treat her kindly, or would they think her an interloper? And what about the Duke of Ermon? Would she even meet him during her stay? She knew that royals could be somewhat aloof.

The train was slowing now. She looked again out of the window and, this time, saw the platform up ahead. Time to get her things together and step out.

She had no idea how her life would change . . .
