As a budding singer-songwriter, Lisa Peterson is devastated when her guitar breaks. To be able to afford having it repaired, Lisa takes a spare-time job at a nursing home. One evening while walking down a dark hallway in the old building, Lisa hears a beautiful, sad song. It leads her to old Beatrice's room, and as time goes by Lisa hears of the secrets of the old woman's past. It turns out Beatrice's story – much like Lisa's – involves horses, friendship and wild adventure. But who is Beatrice really, and who is singing to her, and why?
