Logan's fianc and sister serve as nurses in a field hospital just 100 yards behind the front line. A Seminary student gives spiritual aid to the wounded, Logan and his men. A Cherokee Indian serves as Logan's aide and scout. Danger is intense, fear is everywhere as is love, comradeship and the horrible shadow of death.
