When Lulu Landry a 40-year old, self assured single woman loses her job in the economic downturn of the 21st Century she is forced to figure out how to grab on and get her life back on track. Lulu realizes she is experiencing a midlife crisis, which sounds absurd because she does not feel 40. She is faced with the concept of under-employment, and she must deal with the insanity of a burst bubble in a crazy housing market. Lulu never gives up in defeat; she has to make a giant leap of faith and in the end finds love.
