A South Beach Florida Perspective on Governmental Response to The Covid-10 Coronavirus Pandemic during the year 2020, by the controversial controversialist author David Arthur Walters aka Almost Dead Already.
South Beach was the best or the worst place to be in the United States depending on your politics; that is, until the numbers of hospitalizations and deaths reportedly went way up or down. Ron Desantis, the Republican governor of Florida, was naturally blamed by frustrated socialists like 'Pious' Dan Gelber, former prosecutor, state representative, failed state attorney general candidate, now mayor of the City of Miami Beach, for any bad news at all.
The reader will find here the articles Almost Dead Already wrote in 2020 from his perspective as a longtime resident of South Beach's entertainment area. He would not say that South Beach, despite the recent chaos there celebrated by mainstream media, has been and is one of the best places to be, because, if he did so, real estate values and rents would continue to climb and drive out even more working class residents, whom the mayor classifies as riffraff when they demonstrate against his desire to wreck the rowdy destination brand.
