Little Eddie Sparrow has lived in the parking lot for a long time, lonely and overlooked. He remembers, though, that his mother once told him that one day the King of the Birds would come and set things right, and he decides to begin searching for the truth about this King. As he questions the other birds, Eddie hears many conflicting opinions about the King, but it isn't until a late-night encounter with a mysterious stranger that Eddie finally learns what the King is truly like.
