When learning what it did to Mars for two years and now coming to Earth, she feared humanity might be in danger of extinction. Despite the Anannaki claiming it was the Maker of Worlds, to save the planet she decided to capture it before reaching Earth orbit. As it turned out, it was not a good idea.
