Or the one about the ouija board carved into the floor of the prison, the man who talks to other people in his cell at night, even though he's alone or the strange punishments delivered to the wicked, by those who are wickeder still.
Those stories truly haunt you, because though the bars keep the prisoners in, they don't keep the dark thing out.
