It was a small palace as far as palaces go, only thirty rooms, but it had other amenities in it that allowed him enjoy life in the manner he felt he so richly deserved. He lounged on a short divan as he smoked his water pipe filled with a weak, sweet tasting, hashish and listened to the reports given him every night by his staff. He enjoyed hearing true Arabic being spoken, he hated the English language, to him it was so crass and that was why he demanded that only Arabic be spoken in his presence or anywhere in his house for that matter.
