One definition of peace is tranquility of mind. If your mind is quiet, there is no room for pain or suffering. Your mind is open to tranquility and serenity.
By discovering your own emotions and your way of coping, you become more able to control your mind and learn to quiet it. Once you have discovered what it is inside you that makes you happy or sad, laugh or cry, angry or calm, you can begin to better control your emotions. By asking yourself what makes you feel each of these emotions, you will not only know yourself better, but you will have more control over yourself. To achieve inner peace you must reach deep within yourself and search your mind for what makes you react the way you do.
As you become more in touch with your emotions, you will find it easier to control them. You will be surprised how many times you have reacted to certain things only because your subconscious had that reaction programmed into it. Once you discover what is in your subconscious that no longer needs to be there and clear it out, you will have much more control over how you do everything. Inner peace is within you.
