Sandy discovers an object that will suck the light from the world.

Still healing from her terrible fall down the stairs, Sandy decides to look through the objects they'd recovered from the Polish salt mine. She discovers an object that can destroy the world. This is proof that the Nazis used the salt mine to store the supernatural objects they couldn't control.

Pierre Semaines, Nelson's father, touched this terrible object when he was packaging up historic swords. Slowly but surely, the object begins to steal Pierre's light and life force.

As his father declines, Dr. Nelson Weeks is thrown from his life into a quest for the Templar hoard which may contain an object that will save his father. A variety of Greek Goddesses, a dragon, a fairy, and even a human warrior join Nelson on his quest to find the famous and coveted Templar hoard. In the process, they learn that the quest is purposely created to kill the person undergoing these challenges.

Nelson must continue or his father, and eventually the world, will die.

Estes Park is filled with unexpected twists and turns.
