The Travel Geography syllabus provides an overview of locations, travel destinations and tourism resources from a local and international perspective. It covers the geographical features and differing appeal of tourism destinations, identifies patterns of international tourism and considers future developments within the industry.

The main topics included are an overview of world geography and geographical concepts, patterns of world tourism, international travel destinations and locations of international tourism, international transport modes and networks, the importance of climate for tourism and the factors that are likely to influence the tourism of the future.

The Study Guide, which has been reviewed and endorsed by CTH, works logically and methodically through the CTH 2010 syllabus, following the syllabus order.

It explains the concepts clearly and provides ample opportunity for practice of the techniques. Chapters start with the objectives and topic list to put the material into context and they conclude with a diagrammatic summary to consolidate learning and a set of self-test questions to test understanding. The book concludes with a past CTH real exam, forming a full practice exam for students to attempt. A marking guide is also supplied.

The front pages of the Study Guide contain features such as tips on how to study and an explanation of the exam structure.
