The typical person in glasses and sandals seeing a picture of Gandhi may think he is simply a guy spinning at a wheel. Upon finding out what he had done, you may think, Really? Gandhi didn't seem very strong or big on the outside. He wasn't a genius, but he was smart enough. There wasn't much money in his bank account, and he wasn't friends with a lot of powerful people at the beginning. It wasn't anything extraordinary about him. Ordinary was about as good as it gets. It was his advantage, but he knew it. Even when it seemed like everything was working against him, Gandhi was able to stay true to his beliefs and enact his plans. Even the smallest of his works was a step in the right direction. Unless he acts, who will? His actions drew people to him. His life demonstrated that the commonplace, multiplied by a million, is no longer common.
