First published in 1912 'Sky Island' is the sequel to L. Frank Baum's earlier novel 'The Sea Fairies'. We re-join courageous Tiny Trot and her friend, the old sea captain Bill Weedles in Southern California. The pair meet a young boy named Button Bright whose magical umbrella has taken him far from home. The trio decide to take a trip with the magic umbrella but mistakenly end up on the mysterious Sky Island where all is not as it seems. A children's tale full of magic and the absurd, fans of Baum's 'Wizards of Oz' series will recognise some of the characters in this fantastical story.
