Bulldogs, Bluebonnets, & a Bruhaha in Togas!

In the charming town of Pleasant Hills, Texas, a home invasion leaves one homeowner dead, and seven Frenchies stolen. The local chief of police recruits, Steely Lamarr, known for her tenacity and civilian crime-solving, to assist with the case. Steely will do anything to help. Even going undercover at the Pleasant Ladies Society's annual toga party.

The assignment sends Steely tumbling head first into a vicious world of socialite backstabbing, pup pilfering, and alleged organized crime. Her involvement with the case doesn't sit well with her boyfriend, an officer with the police department, causing turmoil in their budding relationship. The danger intensifies when a local newspaper reporter goes missing after Steely meets with her about a possible lead. And Steely wonders if she's in over her head.

Does she have what it takes to help the police, and outsmart the murderous Frenchie thief? With a surprising and unlikely partner alongside them, Steely and her Chihuahua, Cuff, embark upon their most risky sleuthing yet. But can the trio keep themselves from becoming the next victims?
