Starting over can be difficult. Figuring out where to begin can be impossible.
After a bad break-up Eva Balineaux needs to a fresh start. Not knowing where to begin her new life, she throws a dart at a map. The dart lands on Sycamore Falls. When she finds the town's website, she finds a picture of the sign outside town that says: "Welcome to Sycamore Falls. Population 36,000 happy people and a few grumpy curmudgeons." The slogan fills her with laughter and renews her hope, she becomes determined to prove to herself and her mother that this is the perfect place for her pet shop.
When she meets her landlady's son, Benjamin Kirklin, they both need a friend. Ben married the wrong woman and still has the red welting scars to prove it. He wants to put his difficult past behind him and come home. However, when he gets to the apartment his parents have for visiting family, instead of quiet, he finds Eva. Soon, he discovers that he wants her to find the happiness and love that he could not find for himself. There is just something irresistible about the girl who dances in the rain. But does a painful past prevent a happy future?
As their friendship deepens, it awakens every fear about a new relationship Eva has ever felt. If she falls for him and it doesn't work, she could lose her new friends and her new life. Still, she can't help being drawn to Ben. Together, they find that while they may not forget painful past experiences, they won't allow the past to define their future.
Fate finds ways to lead you to where you should be. Sometimes, you need to open your heart and FOLLOW YOUR DART to your ultimate happiness.
