This book series, Research on Education in Africa, the Caribbean, and the Middle East focuses on these three world regions, which share cultural traits. These regions also represent parts of the world that struggle with economies that do not allow them to fund education nor educational research to the level found in nations such as the United States, Japan, or Denmark. Yet, the nations of these three world regions spend significant amounts of their budgets on education. Throughout these regions there are researchers working to investigate the effectiveness of education spending, to identify the goals toward which educational investment should be directed, to consider how best to create curriculum, and to reflect on how existing schools should be organized and managed.
