Life for 11-year-old rabbit, LUTE, had never been easy, but after the passing of his mother the year before, things have only gotten worse. The bullying at school had been increasing and his father grew more resentful of his only son as the days passed by. Soon the tension between Lute and his father reaches a boiling point. Afraid and desperate, the young rabbit runs away from home in search of a better life in Spectacle City.

With the aid of EDGAR, a mysterious raven with a secret past, the two runaways journey through the country of Eagleland as they face nightmarish horrors, ancient gods, powerful enemies, and discover the magical powers hidden inside themselves.
