Sojourner Truth was a former slave who became a free woman in 1827. Truth was an abolitionist, and a woman's rights activist who would go on speech tours, and speak at conventions. She was well known for the speech 'Ain't I a Woman?', as well as her involvement recruiting African-American soldiers during the American Civil War. This book is a glimpse into the life of Sojourner Truth, from her childhood to death. The book is accompanied with photos of Sojourner Truth throughout her lifetime.
