This story encapsulates the fears and trepidation of a special class of people living within most parts of Africa.

In Nigeria, the Prohibition of Same-Sex Marriage Act came into force in 2014. The act also criminalises any attempt to express effeminated desires in any form.

The gay community have been forced to subject their desires and by extension, their being because their passion and sexual orientation offend the ego of culture and religion.

Many who have been brazen enough to express themselves have been subjected to several dehumanising conditions which in some cases have resulted in death.

This work is an attempt to expose the hypocrisy in the fabric of society and advocate for equal rights and justice.
