John's cousin comes to visit the Amish community and takes a liking to the local beauty, Mary. He's a genius in all academic areas and looks en route to becoming a doctor. But he is woefully lacking in social graces and this turns off Mary. But he helps out on a community project with the Amish people and seeks to change his ways...and maybe win Mary's heart in the process.
