The Rebellious spirit
Short story
Within the Guild, a whiff of jealousy affecting Brother Eberulf against Brother Thielbault arose; in fact, the two mages had little in common except for the passion that drives them: High Magic. At the height of a merciless war against bellicose basilisks, Brother Thielbault was "going it alone" in his long alchemical quest to train the dark predator from a distant land... But his fellow mage's jealousy sowed disarray and division in the Guild, until Thielbault finally erred and was brought before the High Court of Justice of the kingdom. The question is how the human spirit, whether from Brother Thielbault or Brother Eberulf, will deal with this confrontation, and only the revolution of the stars can decide on the fate of the two mages...
