Lizzie struggles to take care of younger siblings after her parents die in a tragic accident. Their family farm is starting to go under and she enlists the aid of Jason Matthews. Jason is a whiz at the farming business and helps Lizzie get back on her feet financially. The problem then becomes when they realize they have fallen in love with each other but they completely different beliefs. He's an Englischer, she's Amish.
