Alle Christinnen und Christen in Deutschland sind von einer Situation kirchlicher "Diaspora" ("Zerstreuung") betroffen, sei es als Mitglied einer Kirche in einer Minderheitensituation, sei es in der Situation des mehrheitskirchlichen Gegenübers, mit zahlreichen Schattierungen zwischen diesen Extremen. Sie stehen in ihrem Miteinander, im Gegenüber zu anderen Religionen und im Gegenüber zur "Welt" vor Herausforderungen, doch eröffnen sich ihnen auch Chancen, ihren Diaspora-Bezug für die ökumenische, kulturelle und zivilgesellschaftliche Entwicklung in Deutschland fruchtbar zu machen. Die neue Studie des Deutschen Ökumenischen Studienausschusses (DÖSTA) zielt darauf, die plurale kirchliche Situation in Deutschland aus der Perspektive der multilateralen Ökumene differenziert zu beschreiben, theologisch zu analysieren, unter den Leitkategorien "Diaspora und Sendung" zu deuten und konkrete Handlungsoptionen für die Kirchen und Gemeinden daraus abzuleiten. Experience and Mandate of Christian Churches in Plural Germany] All Christians in Germany are in some or other way affected by a situation of dispersion ("diaspora"), whether as a member of a church in a minority situation, or as member of one of the majority churches as counterpart of the "Diaspora"-churches. They are on the one hand facing challenges concerning both their coexistence as minorities/majority and their common relations to other religions and the "world", i. e. society in general. On the other hand there are also opportunities to discover which could make the "diaspora"-complex a catalyst for ecumenical, cultural and social developments in Germany. The new study by the Faith and Order Commission of the German Council of Churches (DÖSTA) takes multilateral ecumenism as a point of departure to describe the plural ecclesiastical situation in Germany, to analyse it theologically, to interpret it with respect to the categories "diaspora and mission", and to advance possible courses of action for the Churches and parishes.
