Christie Watson, private investigator par excellence, has had an interesting start to her summer. A sudden uptick in missing cat cases has Christie flitting from home to home, searching for felines in varying states of grumpiness. When the new editor of the paper, The Creeker Gazette, is murdered, Christie's asked by local police not to get involved. And she doesn't plan on it.
