Dr. T. D. Singh (1937-2006) is both a scientist with a Ph.D. in Physical Organic Chemistry from the University of California, Irvine, USA and a spiritualist in the Bhaktivedanta tradition of India. He had several dialogues on 'life' with some of the most brilliant scientists and scholars of our time – Werner Arber, Nobel Laureate in Physiology or Medicine, University of Basel, Switzerland; John Eccles, Neuroscientist and Nobel Laureate in Physiology or Medicine, State University of New York; George Wald, biologist and Nobel Laureate in Physiology or Medicine from Harvard University; Paul Lauterbur, Nobel Laureate in Physiology or Medicine, University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, to name a few. He organized several seminars and international conferences, wrote books and inspired many students and scholars to undertake research on life and its origin. 'Life' was central to him.
