This book talks about a young woman recalling the period of her time going through low self esteem with her looks. She talks about being picked on in school about her looks, being used by boys, and then transitioning to a beauty. She explains how it's affected her life, self esteem, and not feeling like she's enough to anyone.

With that being said, she also wants to share that beauty comes from within and to embrace one's flaws and all. She will talk about her childhood, prepubescent, and adolescence in regards to having a low self esteem and being teased by people in the schools she attended.
