Ariana Estrella's blog features all things Christmas, all year long. While traveling upstate New York in search of the perfect Christmas village, she lands in Charmington amidst the town's annual Christmas Jubilee—and a snowstorm. Delighted and giddy with holiday cheer, the magic of the season seeps deeper into her bones.

Matt Matson—owner of the century-old Main Street Hardware in Charmington—despite all the holiday hoopla, dislikes the season. He's all about regular business—there's not a holiday ornament or tree trimming bauble to be found in the store. The season triggers unwanted memories, so he avoids the celebrations—and the people—as much as possible.

While Ariana originally sets out to find the perfect small town Christmas village, she finds the town Scrooge instead. No amount of Christmas cheer lures the grumpy hardware store owner out of his bah-humbug attitude.

Then it snows. And keeps snowing.
