Meanwhile a young mermaid named Merly arrives in Heaven on a short diplomatic visit initiated by her father, Poseidon. He wants to give Heaven a gift and Merly is there to determine if that gift would be appreciated. Merly enters puberty in a remarkable way when she's staying with Winnie. If any of my female readers are thinking of joining the mermaid race, you might want to read the book first.

Merly's puberty night is a defining moment for her because Poseidon was waiting for this so that he could marry her off to the highest bidder. The price will be high because mermaids were near extinction in the Cosmos.
