Lumen Fidei is the first of the three encyclicals written by the Holy Father Francis. He wanted to write this encyclical addressing it to all the clergy, but also to all lay people involved in the Church, so that they can become a true LIGHT OF FAITH. Pope Francis since his election has been committed to transmitting a message of love and universal hope that must not remain locked up in the sacristies of the parishes, but must go beyond all boundaries to become that great LIGHT, the LIGHT OF FAITH.
