In this all too often cruel world we are living in, many women go through the most and the worst of all hardships. Being a woman is hard in itself, but being a mother can make life for women all the more challenging. We live in a society where far too many women are mistreated by their loved ones as well as strangers; a world where they must fight for their very survival and safety as well as that of their children.

In this book, co-author, Gladys Lindiwe Mathonsi-Twala, shares her experience of growing up in this world of gender-based violence (GBV). Her co-author, Marshall Makhubo supports feminism and gives hope that you can still make it in life no matter what your past circumstances.

The book aims to help you as a victim of abuse, to build your self-esteem despite the path you have travelled.

"Kwanele" – you deserve happiness and inner peace.
