On the heels of his successful role in bringing down the corrupt mayor of Allentown, Pennsylvania, reporter Max Rosen could not let go of one seemingly unrelated part of his investigation. On his way to the FBI office in Scranton, Max stumbled across the kidnapping of the wife of Lehigh Valley's adult business kingpin, Arnie Mitchell. Something about the incident didn't seem right to the young newspaper reporter, so, with the assistance of a mysterious FBI agent and a friend in the Justice Department, Max dove headfirst into a new story.

Life for Max brought new complications that included a glamorous reporting partner and the acceptance of a new job in the Pacific Northwest.
