There are many things beyond mere human comprehension that should never be meddled with.

Naak is an average twelve-year-old Thai school girl. Her only quirk is her ability to see and communicate with the dead. For this, she is constantly teased by her classmates who don't believe her wild tales.

While her school class is on a field trip in Japan, heading towards Mount Fuji to do some sightseeing, the bus driver becomes hopelessly lost, and they end up deep inside Aokigahara – the infamous suicide forest, where at least two hundred people annually kill themselves. Here the YĆ«rei – the angry ghosts of the dead – have been looking for a way to escape.

Naak watches in horror as an accident causes all the children to leave the bus. However, something sinister is now controlling them. Naak's gift has taken on a more ominous meaning when she realizes what is happening, and she knows there is only one way to stop it – only one way to save the other children.
