After braving the hidden vault underneath the Silver Temple and saving the island from the devouring flames, Naka, Etaín, Inza and Kaell are tasked with a dangerous journey to the heart of the Shadow Lands. It is in the Palace of Darkness where they will be able to hopefully put an end to the War of Shattered Light.

But the way to the Shadow Lands is dangerous and full of secrets.

After Ara and Rynn left the Silver Temple in flames, they learned Ara is the new Lady of Light. Now, they travel to Anndar together to claim Ara's title. Long lost allies of the Light are revealed once more, but Ara finds that not all people of the Shining Lands are as eager to put their faith in her.

It is clear that Ara needs more than just her legacy to protect her people. But is she willing to pay the price?

Aergo attempts to regain the trust of Kaell and the others after abandoning them at the Silver Temple while he also tries to stay in Ara's favor.

He learns that his Blackfangs are not as grand as they once were and need to take back their position of power in Anndar. Aergo devices a plan to restore the Blackfangs to their former glory, but for the plan to work, he needs to revisit a life he left behind long ago.
