This book is written as the result of an amazing dream. A young boy is rescued by a Shinto priest and helped back to health. Kimko asks her father Master Sakuma to train Jonathan in the family style of empty hand fighting. Jonathan rises through the ranks to become number one student.
Kimko and Jonathan fall in love and when Jonathan departs for America, Kimko secretly goes with him. Master Sakuma intercepts the two and tells his daughter good bye.
Jonathan opens a martial art school in San Francisco. Master Sakuma and his students travel to America for work. They struggle with the language and new culture. In an act of Honor, Master Sakuma acknowledges Jonathan has save him, after seek refuge at their home, whereas, at one time he save Jonathan.
