The year is 1960. A young girl named Mei has her world completely changed as she finds herself moving thousands of miles from China to America. As she tries to navigate this new world, she must learn to overcome many challenges along the way: from bullying, to anxiety, to learning a new language. When a famous stranger comes to town, the events that unfold will dramatically change her outlook on life and show her that even the smallest voice in the room has the biggest impact on the crowd.
