Sun Jiadong is an academician at the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) and the International Academy of Sciences for Europe and Asia (IASEA) and a recipient of China's Two Bombs and One Satellite Meritorious Award and the State Preeminent Science and Technology Award (China's highest honor in science and technology). As one of the space technology founders and a legendary figure in China's history of space exploration, Sun has witnessed how the aerospace industry of China developed from nothing to become one of the world's best. Now in his 90s, he is still working tirelessly in the frontlines of aerospace engineering and talent cultivation.
