Digger's Cover, Oregon is not only off the beaten path but seems to be caught in different age. It is a small quiet town which suits reluctant Sheriff Abby Anderson just fine. That was until Jimmy Evan got himself shot coming back to town. Jimmy was not well liked. So the entire town is suspect. The state police dump the murder in Abby's lap because she knows the town. Things get compilcatied when Abby ex-love comes to town. Abby has no choice but to solve the murder while she tries to figure out her personal life.
