Kelly Tanaka's competitive hockey career ends on a winning note, but now it's back to the real world. Her first job is being the receptionist at a sports radio station, where she hopes her hard work will lead to something bigger. Then an NHL player walks into the station and makes her an offer she can't refuse.

Speaking of the NHL, James Frechette is now a rookie superstar. He has money, great teammates, and his choice of willing dates. But what he really wants is the one woman who got away. He'll take any opportunity to see Kelly, even it means flying across the country.
