A year and a half ago, Architectural History student Bella's world got flipped around when she hooked up with her crush, Jason, one night while both were pretty out of it. But the next morning, she woke up in his dorm room alone, and since then, Jason has refused to even acknowledge what happened between them.

Now, Bella is in Barcelona as part of a study abroad program — and so is Jason. When Bella meets Jason's roommate, the handsome artist Mateo, she falls for him — hard. But with Jason still in the picture, Bella finds that she can't completely let go of her longtime crush. Meanwhile, she has strong feelings for Mateo developing, but since she'll be leaving at the end of the semester, she knows that what they have can't last — or can it? And why is Jason always around, anyway?

Bella has one idea — Jason likes torturing her — but Mateo thinks it's just the opposite: Jason is in love with her. Could it be true? And if it is, what does that mean for her relationship with Mateo?
