Triceratops was a three-horned dinosaur that was part of the group ceratopsids, which included dinosaurs that looked a little like rhinoceroses. Some ceratopsids had only one horn, while others had five or six. The tiny Protoceratops had no horns. Ceratopsids had large skulls that included large, bony plates called neck frills. They also had parrot-like beaks for tearing up plants, and hoofs on their toes. Readers will enjoy the colorful illustrations as they learn about Triceratops and many other ceratopsids.
